I was fortunate enough to participate in 2 areas of the project. First, i designed the graphics on the truck. We wanted to keep it simple but also unmistakable in it's brand name. As the event generated a tremendous amount of exposure, we were able to get the tundra name out to a variety of news outlets on tv, print and online.
Secondly, i designed a fun extension of the historic event for kids. The idea was to have "fun facts" that revealed how heavy and big the space shuttle was in relation to the rest of the world. We created fun comparisons to whales, elephants and buses where kids can interact and find the answers. The pages were available for download on the microsite as well as hand outs.
